The red carpet’s rolled and the awards have been given… The 2010 Oscar ceremony was celebrated in style, with stars flying in from all over the world to see the cream of international cinema bask in the glory of one of the most well known awards, or indeed go home disappointed, their nomination having come to nothing. On Tuesday our students enjoyed a typical Spanish breakfast of chocolate and churros! Like waffles, this typically Spanish food isn’t the healthiest option but certainly is a favourite in Spain – and Mester! A fun way to start the morning, and a great way of getting energy for class, see the photos of our students enjoying their breakfast! Later we have more activity news – the photos from the recent tapas tour – a great way to get to know the city!

If you pass Plaza de los Bandos these days, near our Spanish school, you’ll see that there’s a new outside photo exhibition – by Peter Ginter, a German photographer who take pictures based inthe science world – in Salamanca’s exhibition, you can find stunning and unusual pictures of the CERN science project, the Large Hadron Collider – this infamous accelerator which has been created to find the elusive “God Particle”. See Ginter’s view of this exciting and dynamic world.
